Reliving High School – The About Yourself Email Forward

This takes me back about 15 years. Back in the days before Facebook, ICQ was the chat client of choice and email was actually useful. In terms of email, the popular thing at the time was the about yourself email forward. A person would send all their friends 20 answered questions about him or herself. The friends would then hit the forward button, answer the questions and the cycle would continue.

Well, I got to relive my high school days and answer a few intimate and detailed questions for my work’s employee spotlight.

The About Yourself Email Forward – 15 Years Later

Favorite things to do in your spare time:

Cycling, Running, Sleeping, Movie Watching, Board Game Playing, Reading, Complaining about Teenagers and Traveling. Need to start doing more exercising, soccer playing and coming up with that billion dollar idea.

Travel spots you love:

Give me a nice glass of wine and a balcony in Manarola (Cinque Terre, Italy) high on the hill with a view of the ocean and town and you have one happy Brent (this will show you why). Also, Whistler, Canada, in the summer is a great spot to get outdoors with some hiking and biking.

Something interesting most people don’t know about you:

My left thumb is double jointed.

Favorite parts of San Diego:

Mission Trails Regional Park, Uptown, any place with good food and craft beer, and my bed or Lazy Boy (I wish I could go back in time and tell the younger me how naps are awesome!).

Family and/or pets:

Just have the one wife Stephanie (our trip to Utah was a bust) and the one half-spaniel/half-lab/one-eyed Killian. The rest of my family lives in Kensington (posh), La Mesa (known for its table industry), El Cajon (always feel boxed in there), Haight-Ashbury (hippies but home to the original Tornado) and Charlotte (nothing but a web of lies and CIA ex-mistresses).

Something on your Bucket List:

I would love to attempt a batch of home-brewed beer and to step foot on all seven continents (3 so far) and in all 50 states (15 so far [not counting airports]). It would also be great to be knighted by the Queen so everyone must call me Sir Brent Bernasconi.

Anything else you’d like to share:

Please let me know that you have read this by send me this hi-five via email. That is all.
